Flipped through an old sketchbook from 2001 and found myself taking a journey down memory lane. I seemed to draw whatever was in front of me ..... ski trips to Sunshine, the back of someone's head in church, an empty building on the edge of a farm field or children playing in the sand at Clear Lake. Sometimes intentionally and other times not the memories of my heart translate into my paintings and I just love how that comes together.
"Painting is just another way of keeping a diary ...." When I first started showing my work it was a little intimidating because I felt like I was allowing people to look inside me ..... revealing my soul! Now I am more than happy to have people take a look and I would greatly appreciate your comments. Tell me which painting spoke to you and why but most of all thank you for taking the time to "read my diary"!
One of the many creative jumps built by "Biker Jack". Just when you think you know what's in your "back yard" .... we also stumbled onto a deep gully as we bushwacked our way around the forest!
Living in the mountains almost 9 years now I have decided to attempt painting mountain landscapes ..... the above is acrylic on 12" x 24" canvas that I completed this week.
